Room 17 – Silver Creek Railroad Club

Room 17

Trains currently operate every day the museum is open.

The Silver Creek Railroaders Club and the Show Low Museum have formed a in-house partnership for this large exhibit of H O scale trains. The club began building this exhibit in 2008 and continues today. Club members make the trees, rock formations, and some of the buildings, they can run six locomotives and cars on the established rails at one time with remote control.  Silver Creek Railroad is housed in the former Navajo County Justice Court room. Artist Steve Taylor has beautifully painted the walls in the old court room to create a panoramic view of the wide open landscape of Navajo County.

“The Last Train to Maverick” is featured in the magnificent railroad display, as well as McNary, Holbrook and Winslow. A must see for the young and young-at-heart. Our railroad engineers are in-house on Wednesday and Saturday to share their stories and run the trains. Ask about joining their club.
